Jalameh Secondary School Wins First Prize in Social Audit Project
Jenin-Maan- Jalameh Secondary School for Girls in Jenin Educational Directorate won the first place in the social audit central arbitration “Our Students Examine Integrity of Implemented Projects” in the City Inn Palace Hotel in Ramallah, Thursday 26th.
11th grade students at the school examined the integrity of implementation of the Mascat Coeducational Primary School in the village, under the supervision of Mrs. Iman Ararawi and Mr. Asad Habayeb, the economics supervisor at the Jenin educational directorate.
The central arbitration of the social audit projects is funded by the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability and is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Teacher Creativity Center. The six participating educational directorates Jenin, Tulkarem, Nablus, Salfeet, Ramallah, and Qalqilia presented their projects for the arbitration.
The students, during the first semester, examined the integrity of implementation of funded projects in their areas. The aim of this project is to introduce the students to concepts of transparency, integrity, and accountability and therefore contribute to increasing the awareness of the generation, in addition to producing a generation capable of critical thinking, problem solving, and auditing as a life approach to be used on daily basis.
