The Teacher Creativity Center Concludes a Training Workshop for Candidates of the Remedial Classes and Therapeutic Camps Project
The Teacher Creativity Center concluded a training workshop for candidates in the “Remedial Classes and Therapeutic Camps” Project. The project will be implemented by the TCC in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, and funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid in Jenin and Ramallah. 
The two-day training (18-19/November/2011) focused on developing life skills and problem-solving approach for educational instructors, and provided training for subject teachers participating in the workshop on dealing with students facing learning difficulties, in addition to determining mechanisms and strategies to develop a sustainable educational methodology and process for the teachers and instructors in the form of highly efficient interventions based on individualistic discrepancies and educational needs especially to elementary students; thereby, enhancing cognitive, social, psychological, and cultural development among the students. 25 graduates of Arabic, Science, Mathematics, English, and Educational Guidance under the supervision of trainers Dr. Mohammad Zayad and Dr. Yehya Hijazi.    
Ms. Elena Romahi, coordinator of the project in the TCC, said that the aim of the project is to enhance full-scale development among elementary students by providing remedial classes and educational and recreational therapeutic camps; adding that these camps will provide the students with the opportunity to acquire life skills via recreational and educational activities, helping them in improving their mathematical, reading, writing, and communication skills in addition to problem solving skills, personality development, and enhancing self esteem among the students.
