The Mechanisms of Development of Trade Union Action and its Impact on the Educational Process in Palestine Conference.
Teacher Creativity Center is preparing for a conference on the mechanisms of development of trade union action and its impact on the educational process in Palestine,
under the title "Towards active and productive trade union work in the ranks of Palestinian teachers". The conference will be held from 16-17/7/2011 in the hall of Hotel City Inn Palace in the city of Bireh.
This conference convened in order to develop trade union action in the ranks of government teachers in Palestine, allow an exchange of experience, familiarize the cadre with their trade union rights, duties, and means of developing their work, and identifying their rights and desired goals through a single unified body that is elected in a democratic manner, where all the teachers are allowed to run and vote freely. This conference presents an exceptional opportunity to trade unionists and those interested in learning innovative ways that enable the participants to harmonize between available resources and trade union objectives, in addition to strengthening the human staff in trade union action, as well as learning how to mobilize trade union action to achieve the best results. The sessions of the conference were divided according to several themes, including the legal environment for trade union work, punctuated with the display of three working papers. The second theme is on the reality of trade union action for governmental teachers in Palestine, also punctuated with three diagnostic working papers on the reality of trade union action in Palestine presented from several aspects. The third theme is on the development of trade union action among governmental teachers in Palestine, with the aid of a display of three working papers with visions on the development of trade union action. The fourth and last theme was on the role of the union in improving the quality of education; focus was placed on the three working papers from different aspects of the role played by the union that is supposed to improve the quality of education.
