Hanan Al-Hroub visits inclusive summer camps for people with disabilities in Jenin
In the context of her support to TCC’s Efforts in promoting the rights of children with disabilities, Teacher Hanan Al-Hroub has visited the inclusive summer camps, which are implemented by TCC in the north of West Bank and in partnership with the Higher Council for Youth & Sports – Palestine in Jalbun and Qabatya Village in Jenin.

In the opening of the visit, many people welcomed Al-Hroub with national songs and chants.
Hanan Al-Hroub said in her speech: “It is very important to coordinate these camps that focusses on the integration of people with disabilities in the community, out of categorizing them within marginalized groups”. She also calls for the necessity of developing the educational policies to ensure a fair integration for this category.

Al-Hroub confirmed: “This integration of people with disabilities requires an educational, cultural and social environment, whether through improving the school infrastructure or qualifying teachers and providing appropriate curriculum that meet the needs of people with disabilities and contribute to change the community culture and negative orientation towards them.

Moreover, Miss Al-Hroub calls for a fair budget to implement and support this trend, and she confirmed that she could contribute and help in supporting the role of TCC in leading this orientation to an inclusive community.

Mr. Refat Sabbah confirmed: “Hanan Hroub’s visit to the inclusive summer camps expresses that she has a high national and educational sense, and because she got the award of “The best teacher in the world” she want to send a message to the community saying that: “we must take care of people with disabilities and our community is responsible to do that. Mr. Sabbah also calls for the acclimatization of education system in all its sides, in order to achieve the goal of integrating the people with disabilities fairly.

On his part, the President of Jalbon Municipal Council Mr. Salah Abu Rub expresses his pride of Hanan’s victory, he also thanked TCC for its efforts towards the Palestinian community service and TCC’s contribution in developing the educational process in Palestine.
On his role, Mr. Ali Khatib the member at Jalbon Municipal Council has appreciated the role of Al-Hroub in supporting the inclusive summer camps and activities, and he gave her an honorary shield appreciated her big efforts in achieving the goal of integrating people with disabilities in the community.

Mr. Ahed Abu Rub the Representative of the Education Directorate has also thanked TCC for its efforts in developing schools and strengthening teacher capabilities. In the same time, he expressed his happiness in Al-Hroub Visit to Jalbun.

This visit was concluded by a meeting gathers the team of Qabatya Directorate who confirmed that they will continue supporting these summer activities. 

It is mentioned that TCC is currently filling the needs of establishing 15 resources room distributed on several areas in the West bank.
